The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History by Elizabeth Kolbert

I finished reading a new non-fiction book! Hurray. This book was engaging and informative, if a little depressing. But, I mean, it's about extinctions. If you weren't ready for some depressing information, I don't know how to help you.

On the other hand, though, this book didn't change my world view, it just reinforced some stuff that I already knew and had heard about. I did learn a couple new ways that we're helping species go extinct. All in all, I'd recommend this book if you're really into extinctions and want a well-written, entertaining read, but if you're not--the information in here that's not basically public knowledge is more details stuff that world-shaking stuff. This isn't quite a must-read, even though it's really good.

4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.
